The Tower’s Foot is a superbly furnished and equipped modernist building situated opposite the walls of the castle. Cross the threshold of the modest townhouse and you step into a hall which leads straight to a high-ceilinged, spacious room with expansive windows, through which the light of sky and water stream in. The building stands on the shore of a lake and the main room opens on to a majestic view, turning it into a place of extraordinary enchantment as it draws the landscape into its impressive interior. The effect is enhanced by the building’s harmonious décor, where the furnishings, the tables, the vibrant red armchairs and sofas and the paintings on the walls all take on the role of extras, complementing a stunning work of nature. The Tower’s Foot is a split-level restaurant, a ballroom and a conference room and, with its well-equipped stage and its cinema screen, it often plays host to cultural events as well. The exterior stairs, in light metalwork, lead to a small garden tucked between the buildings and the lake. This serves as a picnic site and, at one and the same time, functions as a lakeshore mooring for a boat. Beneath the restaurant, there is an intimate club. Furnished in a free and somewhat decadent style, it is the ideal place to sit and chat whilst admiring the charms of the lake, be the day sultry or be it cold and rainy.
